I'm showing you how to make
3 Easy and Healthy Flatbread meals using the Rotimatic.
Today I'm showing off one of the coolest kitchen gadgets
to ever grace my kitchen: The Rotimatic.
Or you could call it tortilla-matic, flatbread-matic,
or pizza-matic because this makes delicious
flatbreads, tortillas, rotis and more
and it is so easy!
Let me show you how it works.
You place your dry ingredients in this container
Your oil in this one, and your water in this one.
It's THAT simple!
You can mix things up and add spices to
your dry ingredients and really play around with it.
No
matter how you choose to mix and match, it is still that easy.
Then you just select your settings and let it get to work.
I'm going to choose the thickest setting,
keep it on the lowest level of doneness
and the lowest oil setting.
It needs just a few minutes to warm up and
then it'll start cranking out some delicious flatbreads.
Watch how it mixes and kneads the dough
The amount of flour that you need in breadmaking
always varies based on things like the humidity
This machine will do real-time correction
so you get the perfect ratio of flour to water
every single time
Then you can see that the dough ball drops down and
then an arm pushes it over into the baking area
Once it moves over then it gets pressed down
and starts baking.
Just look at that puff!
Once it is finished baking,
it gets pushed right out of the machine.
There is a new fresh flatbread ready every 90 seconds.
It's pretty amazing!
Now, let's talk about some ideas for using these flatbreads.
You can eat them right out of the machine
they are actually really delicious that way
but you can also dress them up into something
that is easy, healthy, and tasty.
For this first one, I'm going to create a little bed of spinach
and then I've cooked up some chicken strips
seasoned with a little lemon pepper, salt, oregano, and basil.
We'll place the chicken right in the middle here
to make a wrap.
You could also use some shredded rotisserie chicken as well
which is always a time saver
Then just add some sliced tomato, some red onion.
Then just drizzle on some light balsamic dressing
Then just fold it up
A delicious and healthy wrap!
Now, let's make some avocado toast.
This one I put through the machine on the more done setting
so it's nice and toasty.
We're just going to lay some avocado right on top
Drizzle on a little bit of extra virgin olive oil
Season with a little salt and pepper.
If you want to add some protein,I like to add
on a sunny side up or over easy egg
To me it really makes it a complete meal.
This is a great low carb option for that trendy avocado toast.
Last, I can't help but to make some pizza.
I'm going to whisk together some
olive oil, parmesan, and garlic here in a little bowl
And then brush it right over some pizza flatbread.
Then I've sauteed some sliced mushrooms
in a skillet with a little bit of salt and pepper.
Then we'll scoop some of these mushrooms
right on to the little flatbread
And then sprinkle a little more parmesan right on top
Pop it under the broiler setting in your oven for
2 to 3 minutes to let that parmesan melt
This is so much easier and healthier
than a frozen flatbread or pizza.
I like to add a bit of fresh arugula on top to finish it off.
