How to Make a Pom Pom Door Hanger

hi I'm Sophie and welcome to my world you know a few videos back I showed you
how to make a pompom and a tassel and now I'm going to show you how to make
both of those items and turn them into this really really cute door hanger
window hanger it's a really cute room decor and it uses tassels and pom-poms
and I'm gonna teach you how to make one right now for this project you will need
a pre-made tassel pre-made pom-poms in assorted sizes a tapestry needle yarn
and scissors now if you haven't already watched my videos and learned how to
make a pom pom and a tassel now is the time to do so there's a link right down
below it'll take you to both the tassel and the pom pom first thing we're gonna
do is cut piece of yarn about a yard long and we're going to thread that
through our tapestry needle
starting with the small pom-pom you're just going to take your needle and
thread it through the center push it through the center of your first pom-pom
and sew it on through there you go and that slides up and down now this is
going to be the first pom-pom so I can tie this off into my hanger loop right
now so all I do is fold over the thread wrap it around my finger and tie a
little knot to make a loop now if you want this to go over a door handle of
course you're going to want to make this a much larger one but this is just a
hang in the window you can trim that little extra off then take your next
size pom-pom and find again that center thread it on through now don't worry too
much about placement right now cuz you have plenty of time to worry about that
once you get all three on and now I'm going to take my big one threading it
right through the center and pull it through now you figure out how you want
to space these and that looks pretty good right there once again got my
needle it pulled out so I'm going to rethread it here
I've got my pre-made tassel now when I make my tassels I usually have a hang
tie right here but in this case we can either use that or we don't have
to but I'm going to go through the top where it's tied off so normally I would
have a string hanging off of here this time I just cut it kind of close but I'm
going where that tie off is where that hang tie was and
I'm threading my needle through there and then I'm just gonna tie this off
where I like the placement so let's see I look looks about good to me and just
tie it off with a knot one two, give a little snip and you're ready to rock and
roll and that's all there is to taking some
pom-poms and a tassel and turning it into some adorable room decor now if you
