box on your stream to alert you when you have new follows, new donations, and new subscribers.
And we're starting right now!
First things first we're going to head to StreamLabs.com Hit the login button.
Login with Twitch.
If you don't already have your Stream Labs account connected to Twitch do so at this
time.
Once you've done that you're going to come to this screen over here on the left hand
side it says Alert Box.
Click on that.
You can check and uncheck these boxes.
Depending on what you want and don't want to show up.
I have everything checked.
Because I want everything to show up in my alert box.
Hit copy, and that URL is going to be copied to your clipboard.
Then you are going to open up your OBS.
I'm going to slide it over from my other monitor.
You're going to hit add > Browser.
I'm going to name it New Alert Box.
Hit okay.
URL is going to say obeproject.com.
We're going to input the new URL there.
Hit okay.
Put this right here, and now whenever some body follows we're going to have their name
popup and do some cool stuff along with the image I have set for a new follower.
Same thing's going to happen when I get a donation.
(Cool alert sounds) So these are obviously custom to my channel.
I'm going to show you how to edit these on the Stream Labs settings.
No we're going to remove that so that if I do get any new followers they don't interrupt
the video.
(Cool transition sound) Here is your General settings.
I'll leave this up here for a second so you can copy anything that I have set.
Moving on.
Up at the top it says follows.
We're gonna click on that.
Enable follow alerts.
Layout; you can choose any of these.
Message template; you can change this to say things.
The default says thank you for following so and so, whatever.
Now for your image you can change media.
Stock files; and there's a bunch of different things you can choose from for your follow
alerts.
I have custom ones even though these are really cool.
Then hit copy URL and it'll change right here.
Sound; same thing.
Stock files; sounds; and there's a bunch of different sounds you can go with so play around
with those and see which ones you like the best.
I do recommend that you have different settings for your followers than your subscribers than
your donations, sound wise.
So that when they go off you know, hey that's a new donation, or that's just another follow.
Sound volume; play with this so that it doesn't come through and make your viewers that are
listening with headphones ears bleed.
Play around with these settings.
There's font settings.
Alert variations.
Then hit save settings.
Do the same thing for subscriptions, donations, hosts, raids, bits.
All that fun stuff.
When you go to stream and some body does one of these actions.
It's going to popup that alert wherever you have your alert box set to.
I recommend putting it at the top center.
Make sure that it's not, when it does trigger, it doesn't cover up any useful information
in the game you're playing.
(Cool transition sound) There will be a link in the description below for the guy that
made my animated custom alerts as well as the guy that made the graphics for the static
alerts like the followers.
Everything that is used in this video will be in the description below.
If your curious as to what I'm using and it's not in the description make sure you leave
a comment below.
I'll let you know.
And in future videos I'll make sure that it's included.
That's going to do it for today's video.
I hope you enjoyed it.
Thank you so much for watching.
If you enjoyed this video make sure you give it a big thumbs up.
Don't forget to hit the subscribe button and the bell to get notified when I have new content
coming out.
Thanks for watching!
Have a good one!
