In today's internet world we have
we have started using WiFi more
than physical LAN connection
LAN connections are slowly disappearing. WiFi is becoming more important than LAN.
In this video, i have explained two things,
first how to solve WiFi problem and second how to recover wifi password
Let's start
This is my windows desktop where Wifi problem exist
Here we will see the problem and will find out the solution for same
I am clicking the WiFi option
This is my WiFi SSID "D2300"
Lets see what error cones when I try to connect
Ah! Its giving error
Cant' connect to this network
For normal computer user its difficult to know what is the problem
Is my WiFi having problem ? Is my access point having problem ? Is Password wrong ? What is the problem
For normal user it's difficult to find the problem.
If password is wrong, system should prompt, for wrong password, but nothing is happening.
What to do now ?
When WiFi gets identified by the system, the immediate next step is to authenticate the password to connect
Whether, the password is getting authenticated properly here ?
How to Find it ?
There is no option to insert the password
through which we can insert the password
to identify what password system sending to WiFI for authentication, I will show you some steps.
Its very simple and easy.
First open command prompt with administrative rights
Here we will need to type one command
This command show yo the list of WiFi which it connected till now.
In this case our SSID D2300 is not getting connected
Whenever we insert password first time, system store that password in configuration file.
In this case also the wifi D2300 is stored, but not connecting to network.
Whether the password stored in it right ?
we will need to check that.
by opening configuration file
To check configuration file, we will need to insert that same command but with extra parameters
This command will help us to know the password which is sent to Wifi for authentication
See here, the password save in config file is wrong, actual password was abcd1234
some time because of virus, malware or any other reason - the password gets changed or get corrupt.
And because of which its not getting authenticated
Now here we can see is that the password stored is wrong.
my password was very simple i,e "abcd1234"
Now here we will need to change the password.

System is not connecting becasue of wrong password.
We will need to go to Wifi, select the SSID, right click, and click forget
And then we will re-click the same and try to connect again.
Now it's asking for password.
We will insert the actual password and verify it.
Now the WiFi is is connected.
Internet should work now. Lets verify
Google is opened, lets try searching something
Yes internet is working now and problem is resolved.
When we insert password, ideally password should get updated in config file.
To check, we will insert the same command by pressing UP arrow on keyboard and see,
whether new password is saved or not.
Now we can see the password is saved.
Earlier password was wrong becasue od which
password was not accepted.
Now even if we disconnect and reconnect, it should connect properly without any error.
Yes, its connected.
This way you can solve this type of wifi problems.
This command has two benefits
one, this helps us to know thw password
stored in config file.
second benefit is, if you forgot wifi password and you want to connect another pc with same wifi
By using this command you can find the password and use it.
