a successful Bible study.
If you've been following along, you'll know that last time I talked about breaking the
Bible down, taking this big book and breaking it down by topics and smaller chunks.
Well, I'm going to kind of reverse that right now.
I'm going to encourage you to read the whole Bible.
At some point, determine that you're going to read it all through from Genesis to Revelation,
ideally, or you could start in the New Testament, then go back to the...
But I would say, take it from the beginning, and make it maybe an annual project.
You know, there are all kinds of reading programs that are available if you've got a smart phone
or some type of a tablet like mine here, you can download free versions of the Bible, most
of which will have available, again, free to you, annual reading plans that will day
by day step you through a reading of the Bible, and in one year, you can have it all read.
And it's an amazing thing to do, because you begin to get the sense of the Bible, how it
is written, and how it is put together, and flows from history.
But I think probably one of the biggest things that I could encourage you, that you will
learn, you will see that the Bible is put together by one mind, and that mind is God.
The Bible's not written by human thought and human minds, necessarily.
God did use human beings to put the Bible together, and to inspire them to write what
He wanted to be written, but the Bible has a coherence and an understandable nature to
it because it is written by God.
It is God's revealed Word to us.
When you read through the whole Bible, you'll see that.
It'll open up that dimension of understanding to you, and it will help you to have a successful
Bible study and appreciation of this word of God.
