We are here to call on the Trudeau government to cancel a nine point two
billion dollar investment in a mega dam at Muskrat Falls which threatens both
the indigenous people and non-indigenous people downstream with methyl mercury
poisoning and with a catastrophic dam break which could drown thousands of
people. This is a horrific project. It's never received the free prior and
informed consent of indigenous peoples and we are going to be placing pictures
of the individuals who are most at risk of this mega dam, this lethal mega dam on
the desks of all 338 MPs in about half an hour from now.

And all I want to do is give these pictures to the MPs and get
them into the Prime Minister's Office. That's all we want to do
I don't say that I eat seal and do it every now and then. I do that all the time.
Every season if I can get it. My fridge, my freezer's filled with salmon and trout and char and seal meat
and partridges and geese and ducks.
That's how I live that's why I was raised. And this this project is going to destroy that.
That that project is destroying that right now as we speak.
I know that you're a hard worker. I see you working hard all the time behind the scenes.
You work so hard for Labradorians that I believe in you but I am losing my faith in democracy
and you can help us. Please we need public support we don't just need behind the scenes support.
No more police indignity.
I don't know why we can't deliver it. They're not doing any harm to anyone.
I'm at my wits' end. I don't know what else to do.

It's their responsibility. They need to look into
the faces and the eyes of those who are most affected and we're hoping when they
see the human face of the risk that this dam poses that they will withdraw that
nine point two billion dollar investment
