Sailing in Wales is really really special to me because first it's what I like to
sail and grew up but also because the coastline is just absolutely stunning.
You're out at sea and you look back and the
cliffs and beaches are just beautiful I love coming back to Cardiff
firstly because my parents still live here but also there's just so many cool events going on.
We've had the Champions League they've got the Extreme Sailing
series coming every year in Cardiff Bay and that's just such an amazing
spectacle to watch as a sailor but also for the festival atmosphere.
it's really a party weekend now and the bank holiday and then they've got the
Volvo Ocean Race which will just be unbelievable. The stories those
sailors are going to have from traveling around the world I think
they're coming from America straight into Cardiff and again it would just be
a huge huge buzz exciting atmosphere there'll be so much going on down the
bay I can't wait to get back in to be a part of it.
We just got back from an awesome sail today, the weather is absolutely stunning, the sun was out
there's just enough breeze to push us along and it was just beautiful being
out on the water. Obviously that's not always the case when sailing and living
in Wales and we get all sorts thrown at us, we get rainstorm, we get wind storms
and being out on the ocean experiencing those things around the coast of Wales
is just something to behold and it's just part of it and I absolutely love
that part of sailing
