In children that have much more severe forms of plagiocephaly,
they may be candidates for orthotic therapy or helmeting therapy.
We decided to redesign the helmet with a bivalve type of model
which allows the helmet to expand according to the growth of the skull.
When we went in, the doctors were super great with educating us
on how to address plagiocephaly and how the use of helmets can help.
So that really alleviated a lot of worries we had.
With their helmets being taken off and seeing that was corrected,
that was a really good feeling, knowing that was
one less thing I had to worry about.
The girls are two now.
They're just your normal kids. and we're forever thankful
to the University of Michigan for everything they've done for
our girls and help along the way.
