elses paid materials that they try to sell you so in this video we're gonna
talk about the realistic expectations that you should have when you trade
options so one of the the big distracting factors that people have
which cause cost them a lot of money is they try to hit home runs and they think
that it's possible for them to earn like 100 or 200 or 300 percent a year I mean
we've all seen the videos of this criminal Jason Bond say this year I'm
absolutely killing it in the market just learn my three easy to learn chart
patterns and you too will kill it I mean it's complete bullshit a guy
should be in jail but and I guess it's good that he's not teaching our children
because he's a fraud and he's a criminal but the reality is that when you trade
you can potentially make like thirty to seventy percent every single year by
trading stock options but you have to have realistic expectations so this over
September and October I have right now a very bad position on in Alibaba when
Alibaba fell from around Alibaba was trading around $180 then it fell to
around 165 I soul puts on it at this moment Alibaba is turning around one
hundred and forty seven dollars and my paper losses in Alibaba are showing me
around 150 to 200 thousand dollar loss that's a lot like that's pretty
significant but I'm not really that worried about it and the reason is
because I kept my contracts very small and I know that eventually I'm going to
make money on that position now am i 100% sure I'm not but I'm like 98
percent sure that essentially all I have to do is just continue rolling out that
position and with enough time I will definitely make money on that position
but even though I made the right trade because Alibaba fell from around 2
eleven dollars all the way down to around 180 then it was 170 and I was
very patient and I made a very high probability trade the fact is that you
don't win all your trades the market just be you so some days you're going
some years you're gonna meet 70% in 2017 I made over seven I made around 70 to 73
percent this year I'm going to make less money and I'm completely okay with that
because I didn't make bad trades I've mastered my craft and sometimes you can
do everything right and things still don't work out your way I'm sure that
you know we've all had situations where let's say you like really liked a girl
or you really liked a boy and you did everything right you were nice to them
we're kind you listened to them and for some reason they just didn't like you
back I mean that happens in the stock market too where you doing everything
right you're patient you monitor your entry you you know you call like a local
bottom because let's say Alibaba fell from like 180 to around 165 it was
hovering around 165 and it sold it sold out to around 162 and then when was
trading it's relative low you decided to sell at the 150 put that's a very high
probability trade but right now when I leave I was trading it like 147 that
trade is going to show you a loss so you have to have realistic expectations that
you're not going to win in every single trade and if you get frustrated and you
get shaken out or you trade too many contracts where you cannot assume the
paper losses so your broker forces you to close out those positions for a loss
then you're not going to be able to participate in alibaba's resurgence when
it retraces some of its losses and it starts appreciating and valuing going up
in price so if you sell too many contracts and you trade too many
contracts and then Alibaba goes against you like it did with like it has been
over the past month and it follows the trajectory of those five out of a
hundred instances in five out of a hundred occurrence
because remember that trade will be profitable 95% of the time but if you
trade too many then those five out of ten instances where it's going to trade
below the strike price that you sell you are not going to have the ability to
roll that position and hold it and wait for it to retrace some of this losses so
you need to have realistic expectations that you're not going to win all your
trades that you're some years you're gonna make like 70% other years you're
gonna make 30% other years you might make 15% but the reality is that selling
option premium is the only way that you can predictively make consistent profits
in the stock market and I just want to set the expectation because on this
video you probably see scam artists who are advertising to you about how they
make a shitload of money by day trading and you shouldn't buy into that so this

Observations on Turning Eighty-Two - Charlie's Soapbox 8/26/18 *NOTE* Normally, Charlie writes a new soapbox on Monday, but since he's writing about his upcoming birthday on Sunday, we're running a new one today, and a rewind on Monday. Happy Birthday, Charlie! - TeamCDB/BW October 28, 2018, God willing, I will turn 82 years old. What are you supposed to be doing and how are you supposed to act when you're 82? Should there be an added degree of sophistication, a thicker veneer of dignity, with most of your attention aimed toward the weightier things of life? Or maybe sit in a rocking chair and regale anybody who will listen with tales of "the good ol' days" Or maybe spend your days in a bass rig or on a golf course or indulging in some sedentary hobby or just sleeping late and learning to name the players and identify with the ongoing tragedies in the lives of soap opera characters. Well to those who choose to spend their golden years in such pursuits, as they say "down unda," "Good on ya, mate," hats off, kudos, well wishes and bon voyage on your chosen method of cruising into the sunset. But as for me, I look at my next year of life as another journey through the competition, hassle, hustle bustle, fast moving, and sometimes trying and absolutely wonderful world that I have spent the last sixty plus year in. Half of the one hundred plus show dates we will be doing in 2019 are already on the books, I have three new CDs and a new book coming out almost simultaneously, with plans for my first novel to be finished and published sometime during the next fourteen months. I have a head full of dreams, bits and pieces of songs, venues that I'd like to play again, and fully intend to make at least one more journey to the Holy Land before I hang up my international traveling shoes. I've got quite a lot of musical avenues I'd love to travel down and people I thoroughly enjoy playing with to travel down them with me. I am content with my band, road crew, ranch crew and office staff, I wouldn't trade even one of my twenty-five employees and would be happy to have everybody here for the duration. I am deliriously happily married and have been for the last fifty-four years. My son lives just down the road and stops by to have a meal or visit with his mother and me most days. I have two non-related grandchildren, we assumed grandparenthood for from their birth, one in grade school and one about to finish college, and we have been blessed through the years to spend a lot of time with them. The list of people I could call to come and help me if I ran my car in the ditch at midnight is quite long and, at least in my opinion, the guys in my band all play much better than I do, always giving me challenges to respond to and mountains to climb in my profession. I love my church; my pastor is my favorite preacher and the people who go there are friendly and loving. I am born again, not by anything I have ever done or ever will do, but by the blood of Jesus, who promises us an eternal home, a place of indescribable joy, I would not change my doorstep one foot in any direction, living on the exact and only location on earth I feel at home at. There are good riding horses, fat Hereford cattle in the pastures, big bass in the pond, squirrels in the hickory trees and whitetail deer frolicking in the backwoods. Hazel's flowers bloom every spring, there's a big hill in front of the house and a creek at the edge of the property. We can hear bullfrogs, whippoorwills and the horses nickering on a soft summer evening and a full moon reflecting in the big pond at the bottom of the hill just kinda takes your breath away. I have a head full of musical ideas and have even had thoughts of someday writing a symphony. To say I have been blessed is a gross understatement, but enumerating my blessings for the world to see is not the purpose of this piece. The real point is, I know there are many people who look forward to retirement and would heartily encourage to go forth on those golden paths and relish your new-found freedom. But for those of you, who despite your advanced years, still have a fire in your belly and unaccomplished goals, don't let a chronological number keep you from relishing the remaining years of your life. From where I stand, I say, go for it What do you think? Pray for our troops, our police and the peace of Jerusalem God Bless America Charlie Daniels Jerry Jones did not intend to trade his team's first-round pick for a rental. Hasn't this stance already hurt American workers in certain industries already? What do you think? 🤔 26th October, 2018 For Immediate Release GHANA, TOGO COMMISSION JOINT BORDER POST The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, says Ghana and Togo stand ready to support and promote all efforts aimed at ensuring the success of the management of Noepe-Akanu joint border post, and to strengthen the bonds of friendship and co-operation between Ghana and Togo. Speaking at the official handing-over ceremony of the Noepe-Akanu Joint Border Post, on Friday, 26th October, 2018, President Akufo-Addo indicated that "we believe it is in our economic interest for this project to succeed, for, with hard work, creativity and enterprise, it should create sufficient opportunities to enhance the prosperity of our people." Expressing the gratitude of the Ghanaian and Togolese people to the the ECOWAS Commission and the European Union for their assistance in the construction of this joint border post, the President noted that this project is a welcome development. He explained that the Joint Border Post would strengthen the movement of peoples, goods and services, increase intra-regional trade, reduce trade and logistics costs, improve cross-border security, and serve as an avenue for information sharing. Additionally, with this border post fitted with weighbridges, baggage and pedestrian scanners, and state-of-the-art ICT equipment, joint inspections, sharing of intelligence and joint risk management initiatives should reduce substantially processing times along the border. "Whilst reaping the benefits of this post, Ghana and Togo should also be mindful of, and be poised to address, any challenges that may arise, notably the maintenance of law and order, dealing with cross-border crimes, smuggling, and other related issues," the President said. The inauguration ceremony is as a result of the signing, on 26th July, 2017, of the Bilateral Agreement and Operating Procedures Manual between Ghana and Togo, which govern the joint operations and management of the border post. The Agreement has made extensive provisions on institutional mechanisms and management arrangements, such as the formation of a Joint Committee, the establishment of a Management Authority to determine the administrative measures necessary for managing the joint border post, provision and control of security services, and maintaining the facilities. President Akufo-Addo, thus, urged Ghanaian and Togolese officials to collaborate and address all difficulties within the confines of the Bilateral Agreement, so as to ensure that the joint border post provides a higher level of service than the current arrangements at Aflao and Kodjoviakope. "Indeed, the time has come for West African integration. A functioning, common regional market in ECOWAS has to be a very fundamental objective for all the peoples and governments in the region, an objective that must consolidate the process of structural transformation of our national economies on which we must all be engaged," the President added. With the ECOWAS Commission having put in place plans to execute similar common border projects elsewhere in West Africa, President Akufo-Addo urged for the speedy implementation of these projects. "ECOWAS must help establish the conditions for West African prosperity in the decades ahead," the President added. Congratulations former Hawkeye Lake Kwaza on making the USA Bobsled Team! 🏃♀️➡️ 🛷
