Kate Middleton is bonding with a special group of kids and their parents on Tuesday
After joining Prince William, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at Westminster Abbey on Monday to mark Commonwealth Day, the royal mom of three stepped out solo for an event supporting families in south London

Taking a break from her usual coat dresses and mid-length dresses, Kate wore a purple blouse by Gucci featuring a bow neck and black pants from Jigsaw as she visited the Henry Fawcett Children's Centre to see what support is offered to help parents, caregivers and children tackle difficulties they come up against
She accessorized with a lilac Midi Mayfair bag by Aspinal of London and her Hope Egg earrings – which have reemerged from her jewelry box for the first time in public since March 2012! She joined parents and their toddlers taking part in sessions offered by the local Lambeth Early Action Partnership (LEAP) and Parent and Infant Relationship Service (PAIRS) in south London
One, called the "Circle of Security," is offered to all parents with infants to 4-year-old children
It aids parents and caregivers with a better understanding of their child's emotions
It also supports a child's ability to successfully manage their own emotions and enhance the development of their self-esteem
Another called "Together Time" supports attachment and bonding between parents and infants, providing time and space for moms and dads to enjoy being with their babies or toddlers
It includes singing, use of child-led play and interaction and is designed to support parents' ability to understand their child's cues, feel more confident in their parenting and strengthen their relationship with their child
LEAP was set up with funding from A Better Start, and Kate's visit Tuesday follows the trip to Blackpool with husband Prince William last week when they spent some time seeing the Better Start projects there too
It is the latest outing designed for her to gain a greater understanding of how families can be helped through a child's early years
Princess Kate has set up a group to look into action that can be taken on their behalf
"She has a really deep interest in the early years and parenting and families," David Holmes, CEO of Family Action, told PEOPLE recently
