Former O.J. Simpson prose utor Chris Darden wrote F iday that he had decided o withdraw from defending the suspect accused of ki ling Los Angeles rapper N psey Hussle.
In a Facebook post, Darde cited threats against hi and his family as part o his reasoning. He had be n defending Eric Holder, 9, who allegedly gunned d wn Hussle outside the rap er's Los Angeles clo hing store on March 31. H ssle was 33 years old.

Darden, 63, also received death threats when he was a prosecuting attorney in the 1995 O.J. Simpson mur er trial.
"Just as they were in 199 -Cowards never change," h wrote in his post. "Thes days these cowards don't send letters instead they sit anonymously behind ke boards threatening a man' mother and children."

Darden filed his motion t withdraw Friday before H lder appeared at the cour house, the Los Angeles Ti es reported.
Holder has been assigned public defender.

"I defend poor people — t at's all I do. And he's d finitely poor," Darden sa d when asked why he took n Holder as a client, the Times reported.
