PowerPoint Percentages: How to Create PowerPoint percentage gauges in 4 easy steps Create percentage gauges in PowerPoint in four steps step 1 create fragmented Hollow circles, then insert textbox layer number 1 insert textbox layer number 2 and he made circles and text boxes Step number one, so we're going to start off the PowerPoint. I'm going to remove this insert our rectangular shape The size of this is going to be equal to that slide remove the outline And I'm going to go to the insert tab click on shapes insert a hollow circle which is in the basic shapes To change the view click on guide so I can get these guides in the center in vertical and horizontal axis I will make a perfect circle for this. I will make the height and weight equal Put it in the center and then adjust its weight from this yellow dot Increase the size of it to about 6.5 to 730 meeting each then I'm going to pull and drag it so that Half of the circle is off the slide and half is on the slide in the bottom left corner I'm going to duplicate it by pressing control D and place a circle on top of it again Duplicate it zoom out slightly Holding the control button, I'm going to drag it and place it here. So it works the same as duplicate. I Will select all these three, press ctrl D to duplicate And Adjust them to the sides Like I did to the ones on the left now after I have done this I'm going to press ctrl-a to select all of them Click on shape outline and remove the outline Keeping all of them selected. I'm going to click on format tab then at the top left you can see Merge shape icon or a mode shape button click on it and click on fragment So it is going to make fragments of all the selections that I made and I'm going to remove the outer DS onto these circles Once I've done that I'm going to select the whole of the inner circles remove the outline And change their color to white which is going to be at the background Remove the our plane for all of them So my first step is complete in which I created fragmented all the circles and place them onto the boundaries of the The next thing that I need to do is give all these hollow circles the outer edges of them a separate color So I'm going to select each one. Click on the shape fill and Select different colors. You can import different colors from the internet for your personal use you Can make different color combinations and different themes I'm going to use the standard color so that Everyone who has the basic version of PowerPoint can use it Here I'm going to go into more colors and I'm going to change the shade of the color so I can have more colors More fill colors go to custom tab or the standard ones select any one out of this palette click on OK and I'll have that comment want my For a better understanding of which colors look you should all just go through Color theory ones. It's going to help you a lot in choosing which colors you need for your presentation After this I'm going to Group the rectangle at the back with the inner DS By holding the control button. I'm going to select all of them together and then I'll press ctrl G virus for God's so the Background is all grouped together The next thing that I need to do is I'm going to group these circles together So I'm going to select both edges of it holding the control button I'll select both and then press ctrl G. So all of them are grouped together If you continue to use this group function Or the if you continue to group your image then working on to a PowerPoint becomes more easy and symmetric Our safety presentation here, then I'll move on to my next step which is insert text box To insert text box. I'm going to click on the insert tab there now click on text box Draw a text box as I required Just Type some percentages onto it because the circles that are going to be rotated will be rotating in different percentages And beneath it I will write some text here After this, I'm going to format this text I'll give it a color and I will select the fault for it By pressing the the button I'm going to centrally align this text This one I Will align it in the middle then I'm going to decrease the size of the smaller font, although some texture and I'll increase the size of the percentage that I haven't I'll give it a color this color is going to be the same as that of a circle that I've drawn Click on the spacing character spacing tab and make its spacing too loose and press control D to duplicate Control the again again and again so that I have a total of six textbox drag in place each text box against one circle each We'll change the percentage that I have written in it and the color The text feels like the complete text box. Then the text. All of the text is going to get it from the change place this one at the top and I will leave it's going to do for the moment because Otherwise it is going to merge with the background and I won't be able to see If a mistake like this happens simply forcing ctrl Z is going to undo it rotate it by 90 degrees holding on to the rotate icon That automatically comes at the top of X box Click on eyedropper to change its font color If there are some basics that you are not understanding over here you can refer to my previous tutorials they're going to teach you how to Go about the basic interface of PowerPoint Once I have inserted the textbox and placed them on to their places And give them a color the next step is going to be to Give them different percentages out gives Random percentages to each circle and then I'm going to during the animation teach you how you can rotate the circle or Make a gauge out of it so that it looks like it is at 80 percent or 20 percent seventy five hundred sixty or 40 percent So Increase the size of the 40 percent make it a bold font By clicking on the B button or you can also press control B to make it gold I'll increase the size of each percentage by one click onto the big eight and with an arrow on top so that increases the size by one point and Continue to do this for all of the text boxes that I have The next thing I'm going to do is give the background color So I'll select the rectangle along with the DS which I grouped Click on format' go to a gradient fill and give it a gradient fill This is not the final feel that I'm doing but I just gave it a cell so that I can give The blue text box a blue color. Otherwise it would not have been visible to me After this, I'll move on to my next step which is to insert rounded Rectangles and on which I'm going to create more text boxes. So after drawing this rounded rectangle Holding and pressing the orange button is going to round its edges I'm going to place it Increase its size leaving some space from the center Slightly increase the width and Remove its outline and give it a shadow. I'm going to give a shadow towards the In their side that is offset center And I will duplicate it holding the ctrl button Drag it so that I have Three text boxes I will leave the click After each drag so that I get three text boxes or three rectangular shapes Once I've done this, I'll select all three of them together and place These three onto the right side of it. I'll make sure that both Both the lines or all three of them at the left and at the right are equally spaced You see those tiny red dots arrows up and down On each side. So this Continuously. Keep on coming which gave you your alignment? Well, this is a great feature on Microsoft PowerPoint, it helps you quickly align your things without having to go into the basic diamond since then I'm going to give each of this rectangle a color which is going to correspond to the circles that I already created Click on select the rectangular shape click on shape fill click on eyedropper and it's like comas are Repeated again. And again until we have all of our text boxes complete Having done this the next thing is to bring some text boxes on to these It's rounded rectangles or the tabs that I inserted so I'm simply going to hold the control button and drag the Text box that I inserted at the top and place it over here percentage from it and make it aligned properly into the center increase its size slightly and Change the spacing of it to lose. I will change its font Hng Then I'm going to copy all of these on to each time I'll change its color to buy it After having than the basic formatting of duplicated by pressing ctrl D and then continue to place each Text box on top of rectangular shapes that answer and group each text box to its corresponding Shit Strike two all three of these together Drag them on to the three tabs that I am on to the right side by holding the control button Make sure that they are centrally aligned or they are aligned Exactly the same way the ones that are on the left and select holding the control button It's like the rectangle shape and then the text box then press ctrl-g to group them together This coping is going to help you in the next step so you can quickly make the animations or you can quickly insert the Animations. So now we are going to move on to our Fourth step the final step that is to animate holding the control button I'm going to select all of the circles together go to animations tab drop down and click on spin now you see that all of these are spinning but this spinning is random and so the first thing that I'm going to do need to do is to change how they start off it and for this I'm going to Select that they're going to start after the previous one So all of them are going to start or one after the other in a sequence, and they're not going to go together All of them are not going to start just together. So once I did this you see they're all rotating Up one after the other it completes its animation and then the next one starts then clicking on the animation pane I get all these animations together So I'll just click on the first one now. This is 40% So I'll just give it a roughly custom Rotation of 75 degrees so as it is a semicircle it is going to rotate 180 degrees so half is going to be 50% is going to be 90 a 60% is going to be roughly It is a bit more than 50% So it is going to be roughly 105 degrees. It comes out as 60 now I'm going to select the third one Click on it. Click on the Drop down from the effects going to put the details click on the amount. I'm going to like to do 180 degree clockwise For the third one. I'm going to for the fourth one. I'm going to do the same click on the drop down According to its percentage. I'm going to give it a fill and for the ones that are on to the right side I'm going to give it a counterclockwise rotation So it's 80% approximately 150 degree So the next one is 20% I can repeat the same that is to click on Select a group. It's like the animation the Condor problem first lected counterclockwise and then for 20% give it a Rotation degree, which is going to be roughly 25 University at the end I'll go for animating the 75% This seems less so I'm just going to give it 35 and since it is rotating lesser amount, I'm going to increase its speed to 0.5 instead of one second Counterclockwise rotation in 475 it is going to be roughly And we're in 35 degrees We have 75 person I'll save this the next thing is to give the second With the first text box and animation So I'll select all of them together click on animation and click on play soon So that they appear while zooming now on to the right side. We see four. We see green stars Now when you speak each one of them up and put it below the previous one so for now you can see that we have a Timeline over here now select holding the control button I'll select all of them individually and I'll change their start to Start with previous and give them a delay now. Once we do this you see that we have a timeline over here We have orange green orange green orange green Orange green orange green orange green and the orange green that is grouped together as ending together so we were basically we are creating these animations in groups, but the next thing is to give an animation to The rectangles that we added again click on the drop down and press the Zoom button then again pick each one from the bottom and Drag it to each group that We made earlier. So basically we are going to have a group for a yellow a group for green in the neck And they're all going to animate together and if you see the timeline you can see we have Yellow green green and then sorry orange green green orange green green orange green green now I'll hold the control button select all of the final animations that are inserted Select them to start off with previous and this is what we get Now the next thing that I'll do is click on the insert tab click on icons and Import some icons which I'm going to place inside these circles. I was like eight of them Once they are here I'll reduce their size and I'm going to place them after they here onwards I'll just quickly fast forward the slides so you can see what I'm doing It is all basically formatting of the text and changing the color and placing these icons in between these circles and rotating giving them a shape fill of the color with which the circle is made and Also Removing its outline.
